I've had both, every "feature" on the Vita was half-baked and was only added for adding sake. A remnant of Sony electronics from years past. The allure of an all in one convergence device was already dated in 2011. It had many features, but by 2011/2012 gamers weren't going to turn on their Vita just to use those features.
Everything about it was cumbersome. Its UI, It's "features", it's memory solution, the rear touchpad that maybe 3 games really took advantage of, I could go on.
It's only saving grace was its ability to play PS/PSP games, and the handful of unique titles that were good, but most of them got ported to the PS4.
