Smash 3DS is #9
for the Wii Smash is #8
Smash is #4 on the Wii U
so there's definitely some disparity.
Smash ain't for everyone.
Conversely, MK is either #1-2 on the list for each of those named systems, but I know there's peeps who don't like'em.

bruh there's over 2000 games on switch those games ain't a must. Over 30 million people own the OG switch. this is just a marketing strategy, for the people who just want the out of pocket device to play with the greatest of ease. Or for parents who just want to cop something cheap for their child right quick or on their b day or christmas. There are some who really just love the handheld aspect of the device like they did for the DS brand and Gameboy brand. Nintendo most likely gonna sell a device that could make the thing stand (because god only knows why they didn't put a kickstand on it) for table top mode.

Stupid mufukkas don't even realize the Switch Lite is not for them. It's for people who want a Switch but don't want to pay $300.00. This is not a PS4 Pro situation which is a console specifically designed to cater to the existing customer base that already have PS4's to play games at better performance and for VR customers. PS4 Pro and Xbox X are retitention products design to keep the existing user base from leaving if they want more power or feeling the competitors exclusives and want to switch no pun intended.
