The Nintendo Switch is a dream machine for anyone hat loves fun games. Zelda, Mario and Mario Kart in the first calendar year.
I'm just now learning Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack coming out at the end of this month is the original game, the sequel, all DLC, upgraded graphics for Switch and is made by the developers of the Mega Man Zero series. Must cop since I never played either.

Seeing a lot of people who have Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle early state it feels like the first AAA game worth buying after zelda.

I think they will slowly come around. Nintendo brought a lot of ill will to themselves from the early days couple that with being behind the pack in terms of technology and user base compared to SonyKoei Tecmo seems to be all in on the Switch.

It's got local co-op too since I know you asked about multiplayer games before. I think the way it works though is that the campaign is still single player but with each level you beat, you unlock multiplayer challenge maps

That's what everyone's waiting for. A lot of people think it'll get announced at the Nintendo World Championships in October but I think that's wishful thinking. Smash Bros and Mario Maker are needed
