It definitely is as portable as advertised. It truly is amazing to see how seamless the switch from tv to handheld it goes.
Mario Kart as others suggested. But coming up? I'm looking forward to that Mario Odyssey and the Yoshi game. They look like moving art pieces.
I purchased the Switch for 300$ on Amazon and for two games it came out 120.

Depends what type of games you/are looking for.
Puyo Puyo Tetris is a great game is you like puzzle games. It's basically 2 games in 1 and has a story mode
Arms is a good, new fighting game. Up to 4 players and it's also Nintendo's best online experience by far.
Sonic Mania is a must if you played the Genesis games as a kid
VOEZ & Thumper are great rhythm games
Blaster Master Zero is a fun retro style adventure game
There's a lot of great games in the eShop for pretty cheap too

I don't like how the animations look and the 3D looks cheap/plasticky but I'm a sucker for Streets of Rage gameplay so I'm likely in
I kind of feel like it was meant to be like that.
That vintage feel wouldn't be there without it. It they made it too crisp and too 3d, it wouldn't have that charm.
