One of the Nigerians in this thread, said that Igbos are hated in their country that’s why most are abroad. If an Igbo doesn’t fukk w/ their own fellow countrymen, you think they’re gon come here and wanna fukk w/ us?

Nothing against anyone non AA, but I don’t wanna hear anything about how we’re “destroying bonds” and being divisive. This thread has multiple Nigerians, talking about how they went to war w/ their fellow countrymen, and how their country needs to be split up.

Acknowledging that we’re all black doesn’t mean that you have to align yourself with and support everybody’s who’s black tho. You could easily just not support non American blacks who are on the tribalism shyt, the same way you don’t support American black c00ns despite being from the same tribe/ethnicity. You’re all playing the same(divide and conquer) game. You’re generalizing and if we’re going to talk in general then you’ve got to acknowledge that we as black Americans don’t support each other either, so what’s your point? Most black Americans aren’t pro black American. Most black Americans are on some individual get in where we fit in shyt.

I’m saying that all blacks on that individualism or tribalism shyt are c00ns. Black foreigners and black Americans alike. If you’re prioritizing your tribe/ethnicity/gender/sexuality/complexion/politics or anything else over blackness, then you’re part of the problem and you’re an actual asset for white supremacy.

What I find interesting is that tribalism has always been identified as one of the biggest issues that has sabotaged black people and black empowerment worldwide. We identify it as 1 of the main reasons that whites have been able to subjugate us for the last 500 years or so. All it took was a couple of Internet influencers to change all of that almost in the blink of an eye. It’s crazy.

Nigeria isn't all equal. You stay in places like Victoria Island, Lekki, Rich parts of Abuja, basically anywhere were high level politicians and rich people live, you can live well and to be honest, it's like being in any 3rd world country. You always gotta understand where you at. My dad always says, America gives you one thing no one can really give you elsewhere. A peace of mind. You might hate America and you might think it's racist af. They hate you and opportunities aren't always based on the hard work, a lot of times, simply luck and hard work to maintain luck but it gives you a peace of mind. That said, there is plenty of reasons why guys like @bdizzle left and happy and will never come back to America.

There is nothing like being seen as a being and not just a N like you are in America on eggshells with every race including your own. But for those who don't value that kinda thing, simply want their peace of mind, money, and nice gadgets, America is perfect to them for it's flaws.

Southernes adopted western education quicker and better. It doesn't mean we are better or smarter. When we Southerners understand this we can begin to steer the Country in a better direction.

Also, Nigeria is not Africa. Our problems are unique and the rest of Africa is nowhere as bad. I have travelled extensively around Africa and practically no other Country has our unique problems. Its almost like a perfect storm.

My mother was 10 when the Biafra war took place and her brother was 13 when he fought in the war. The stories my mom told during that time, will tell you how much Igbos are hated. Graphic accounts of Nigerian soldiers slicing pregnant women bellies and killing them. How many other tribes turned their back on them and over a million Igbos died and children with swollen bellies due to malnutrition. Igbos who had bank account linked with the Nigerian government accounts were clean out with no return of funds after the war. How after the war in the late 70s early 80s, an Igbo will go to Lagos after college for work and no one will hire them, completely ostracized. That is why there are significant if not higher numbers of Igbos living abroad compared to other ethnic tribes. I have met only 1 Hausa person living in America my entire life.
