My cousins was propping expats fund Igboland like the Jews. I was like, the Jews were white. They were stars in banking, had Hollywood and other financial and legal powers in the 30's and 40's. Igbos came to America as Blacks. Regardless of the degrees, education, etc, we simply do not have the capital to build and help Biafra. Most of us have severe debt from undergrad, grad and professional school. Not to mention the barrier within America or Canada in other areas. We must be honest, we aren't white in a system of white supremacy. We are Black and that means more economically than being Igbo.

Yes, it seems anecdotal. My family in Nigeria are doing well too. But the country has grown poorer year after year. Poverty rate was 25% in 1980. It was over 70 per cent before the recession. Inflation too. Hunger stalks the land.
