NBC spent billions on the NFL and then spent a billion to acquire the WWE Network. But NHL would have been good for Peacock.

I suspect NBC and FOX already have a handshake deal with the rock for the rights to the XFL that’s why NBC or fox didn’t want to pay a lot for the NHL

Wonder what that HBO MAX bit means exactly? TNT and HBO are both WarnerMedia...would they livestream NHL games through HBO Max, bypassing the need for some other cable package...or some kind of studio show?
