Ye the ratings keep going up...the NFL has made a lot of decisions in recent years that hurt the quality of play. Expanding the playoffs, expanding the regular season, and introducing more short-week games (like on Christmas)
Great leagues do a great job of telling fans that their shyt is gold.Ye the ratings keep going up...
MLB also has the best network for covering their sport.Outside of Washington/Tampa it was trash
But that’s par for the course. MLB continues to have the best playoffs
Seems like they are all more top-heavy than ever before. We are in a down period of sports.Garbage every direction you aim.
a product selling more has more to do with marketing than its qualityYe the ratings keep going up...
Why do we have to wait to see it? Why do players have to risk injury to play through shyt first round matchups?Wasn't the best weekend, but there is still a very good chance we get the match-ups that most people have wanted to see:
Ravens v.s. Bills
Ravens/Bills v.s. Chiefs
Lions v.s. Eagles
Chiefs/Bills/Ravens v.s. Lions/Eagles
These are all elite match-ups that people have wanted to see. Yeah, you're going to have to wait a week to see them. This weeks games were not great as a whole, but that happens.
Wins are a team stat breh.No QB wins is legit, because great QBs win games and they win a ton of em...
The quality of competition matters though, and to this point of Allen's career, we see the proof in his W-L vs 7s (4-0), and vs everybody else (2-5). To this point his track record is that he isn't as dominant vs higher competition, that's a fair point to make. But then, nobody has a great track record vs higher competition besides MaWhiteman...

in one of these wack first round playoffs, we’re going to lose a marquee superstar.
I know it’s about money. But I don’t wanna wait either. And I don’t wanna risk seeing superstar get hurt playing in these inconsequential money grab games.I'm not disagreeing with what you've stated. I'm simply saying we'll get some much awaited match-ups.
And, you obviously know the reason for the seventh team is money. There will probably be a time in the next 5-10 years where the conferences expand to eight teams. Not saying it makes for better quality football, but the league will do what they need to make the most money, and we both know fans will still watch.
