The NBA and NFL operate in two totally different cultural spaces…the attention given to the NBA trade deadline has zero actual effects on the superbowl except from some superficial coverage in sports media that’d just be going towards segments on whether Kelce is gonna propose to Taylor Swift after the superbowl if the chiefs win or some silly shyt instead …the superbowl is a bigger event than most major holidays, this isn’t a real conversation..and I’m a person that likes the NBA waaaaay more than the NFL
I agree with this for the most part. NBA and NFL fans do overlap obviously but it's really just two different spaces.
NBA has had a great week for sure, and the hype for SB has been dampered too. But America is gonna tune in in huge numbers like always. The Super Bowl is really a holiday
