Actually no. Russell Wilson has almost no Native American ancestry. He took a DNA test with Henry Louis Gates. Here is a link to the hour long discussion about his entire family tree:



Russell Wilson's DNA results came out to: 62% African, 36% European, 1% West Asian, and 1% Central Asian.

He's basically 2/3 black and 1/3 white. And his entire family has basically been black since the end of slavery. His white ancestry comes from slavery. I would suggest you watch the entire video with Henry Louis Gates. They get into some incredible history involving his family. Russ essentially descends from black royalty. So many of his folks were trailblazers and pioneers.

To call Russell Wilson mixed is to say almost every Black American is also mixed because of the white ancestry that came during slavery.
