It's funny because the actually reason of the ramping up is more than likely because there's actually competition this holiday season.

This gen it wouldn't matter, but year one of new console release pretty much makes or breaks how successful you'll be that gen.

And with Nintendo switches being red hot still for some reason, and Xbox series X actually being threat from multiple angles, they can't afford to be short on systems.

It'll be hard to tell someone not to buy the more powerful system that you can play halo on day 1 for a buck along with hundreds of other games and it's all back compat.

Or you can wait and try and get a PS5 and Spiderman, and wait on ratchet and clank to drop
