NYC/NJ had the GOAT bus fleets until about 2010 when most of the old stuff was retired for boxy clean diesel and hybrid shyt. To me 2010 was the end of an era. We're never going to look back on these times as fondly as we will anything 2010 on back.

One thing I’m jealous of not being from NYC. Y’all got so much culture documented.

It’s so hard to find footage of my city. It’s like from 1985-2000 Detroit didn’t exist :wow:

I know damn well there's gotta be a lot of footage from the White Boy Rick, Best Friends, Chambers Brothers era.:shaq2:

I saw on "American Gangster" that all the Chambers Brothers did was take video footage of themselves, so I know nikkaz out there in the D had video cameras in the mid '80s.

But to be fair, those nikkaz did kinda snitch on themselves, so the other nikkaz who were taking video might've burned them shyts:russ:

same thing about South LA

Now, this one I definitely don't believe.

There's gotta be a lot of footage from the NWA/Ice Cube/Boyz N The Hood era of nikkaz in the hood.

I mean at one point South Central/Compton was like the center of Black entertainment culture

Where is it at then? I was talking more city type/cultural documentation, but there damn sure isn’t any gangster shyt documented. Only tape you ever see is the chambers home footage in the crib. You don’t see Rick tapes except in court. No real Motown Mafia footage. No best friends footage. No YBI. Only seen like three pics of Maserati Rick and one is in the casket. Only hood stories of Boone from documentaries from the 2000s. You don’t even see any footage of BMF back when they were in the city.

The 90's was probably the last decade where NYC was dope nothing against the residents. But Juliani took all the fun out it.

1994 New York City

Damn. That's random. Either around this day or right near it I saw the Damn Yankees show on the bottom left. Long story but it was with a group that brought us to things we didn't get to see much. Probably like 20 of us. I still remember it was Lilith from Cheers, Bebe Neuwirth. I remember thinking about how i didn't really want to go do it but it was really good.

It's crazy how memories fade. I remember that same week playing basketball in Brooklyn and right after I left and was walking into the building about a block up the street some dude got bucked in the head in broad daylight.

NYC has ONE batch of the round 90s buses left, this is their last year of service
