I don't think the Ps5 Pro will be that big an upgrade even priced at $650.

RT + 60 fps was retroactively added to games like SM1. The resolution was the compromise.

They will have no excuse not to optimize games, no way we should still be having to pick between 30 fps fidelity and 60 fps with blurry textures in 2023.

Standard should be native 4k 60fps, no disputes. 120hz 1080p is also lame.

Most PC gamers favor FPS over 4k for competitive edge..theyre playing on monitors not tvs, the home console market is a whole different target audience. Console gaming is more cinematic outside of your select few multiplayer games.

Even if the pro has to consistently upscale games to 4k to keep the target FR it can be done without charging something egregious.

Im not expecting the pro to be anywhere near $500. More like pandemic prices.

The expanded storage will also factor into the price. A console is a dedicated gaming device, even a gaming rig has other things running simultaneously with the GPU that needs to be accounted for.

Sony has a bunch of exclusive games that are released each year, month after month since the launch while Xbox waited for 2 years and half or 3, released two or 3 exclusive games. After Starfield and Forza Motorsport...what are you gonna play?
