Outside of for a business why would one buy a new car every 4 years though? It's not really financially sound to do that unless you're rich.
People do that all the time
Also while complaining about it and the amount they get when they trade in the vehicle

I would NEVER buy a used vehicl again

Cause I keep vehicles a long time

The maintenance and repairs for the used vehicle I had was ridiculous

The vehicles I bought new and kept the same amount of time def was way more cost effective

And spend that 10k in repairs while driving a vehicle u really don't like
maybe i've had good luck with used cars, but i've always bought from a dealership.

shyts never had major issues, and i did like the cars.

there's plenty i didn't like, i didn't purchase those. you're acting like it's only one used car at the lot lmao.

it's a scam, govt allow it because it brings them revenue $$$

get an old pickup truck, re haul the engine, transmission and keep that bish til you leave the earth or better yet, get a bicycle or take a cab.

look at cuba and india, they have old cars from the 70s/60s/50s

My pickup is 20 years old , owned it for 18. Been paid off since '07 . And my family wonders how I can afford to go to South Beach next weekend. :ohhh:

Seriously, unless you HAVE to , you can wait on getting a new whip right now.

I've bought used my whole life and my lifetime of repairs don't come close to that

I don't care for flashy cars though
Yeah
It's def the mindset u have and reason why u purchasing

I know beaucoup people who buy used only cause they can't afford the New luxury car they want

So they buy a 7 to 10 year old luxury car that has a ridiculously expensive maintenance cost and constantly needing repairs
Then they keep doing that every 4 years

Instead of buying a new or used car that is know to be reliable and affordable

I buy used luxury vehicles but I very much know wtf I’m doing to work on them myself or who to take it to when I can’t and where to get parts or how much they should run when something gots wrong since I can diagnose most problems. I’m an exception to that rule though, most people knowing. Krhing abojt cars get hit BAD by repair shops.

The issue is that you are approaching this as if a car is supposed to be an investment. It’s not…it’s a tool. Thus it is bound to lose value. And there is nothing wrong with that.

I buy new, and run until the wheels fall off. I don’t expect my car or any tool to appreciate in value…because it’s a tool.

If something loses 10% of its value just by you owning and using it once it was never worth the asking price to begin with.

I'm not sure I'll ever buy a brand new car in the face of that.

nothing used holds the same value as something new

Depreciation only matters if you’re trying to sell the car
