If they're hiring stand up comedians now, they probably don't realize it, but they peaked back when they had :patrice:on staff and fired him in the early 2000's.

Damn near everyone else they could've hoped to get since then is a diminishing return.:wow:

Patrice writing bits for The Hurt Business would have been :whoo:

Patrice writing the Lashley/Lana storyline would have had Twitter like :damn:

I don't know why people are deliberately being obtuse about this. It's a bad look when one of your writers admits that they didn't have to know anything about the product to get the job, then gets the name wrong of one of the product's most prominent characters. :francis:

This wouldn't be an issue if they had about two or three writers who were green to the product and could be mentored by someone more knowledgeable. But they have 25-30 writers who don't know shyt about wrestling and were hired from reality shows and HSN shopping bonanzas during the holidays. :russ:

You know why a lot of these reboots don't work? Because they're written by people who don't understand the original show and what made it good in the first place. They have no respect for the property and try to write their own version of it, appealing only to themselves and their immediate circle of friends. Same thing with wrestling. You can't just tell someone to do something like write the Austin/Rock storyline in 2001 and have it turn out well. If you don't have any respect or appreciation for what wrestling is at its core, and you have no one to help you out because everybody is serving a maniac........you're not going to be a good writer of wrestling.

I've been saying that we need a Chris Kreski type in there that can regulate everything, but that's not happening any time soon.

Well this is true, they literally have an entire staff NOT caught up in wrestling :laff::laff:

And not a single person in here mentioned two black women writers being hired as a negative. Pretty sure most people have said good luck to them as the WWE clearly needs to have black writers that can actually tailor stuff to black wrestlers so you won’t have Hollywood Shuffle type stuff. But people are also being realistic and simply looking at a lengthy history of the WWE micromanaging and undercutting people, then using them as scapegoats. These are undeniable facts with tangible evidence.

Also, one of those tweets up there is from somebody on here whose been suspended several times. That extremely pro-WWE, Trump supporting, fence-riding dope has the nerve to pull that card when they’re in multiple threads across multiple forums basically being Ben Carson and Sheriff Clarke when it comes to black issues.

Which person? :feedme:

hiring a writer that knows nothing about wrestling can't be any worse than a wrestling aficionado who thought stuff like CM Punk's "pipe bomb", Matt Hardy's delete bullshyt were good. shyt, just look at AEW in general. I assume its all wrestling people over there and...

entrenched wrestling fans are miserable idiots with bad taste.
so her going in with a blank slate not trying to please a certain crowd can only be a good thing.

she'll be alright.

Cornette said something about this recently, it's apparently common for WWE writers to not know anything about wresting. It's how Vince wants it.

Her mistake was going a step beyond any other writer and telling the world she doesn't know shyt

That and basically calling the reigning champ of the company an unidentified flying object big black dude, but it goes hand and hand.
