This is a point that needs to be accentuated more in future conversations. They're clearly looking at this from the standpoint of "this will make ppl with a clean record think twice before committing a violent crime."

Early on in my life I was stupid...i got shyt on my record. I and realized it. I had to work extra hard to get to where Im at. Odds were stacked against me, and I realized, and accepted the consequences of my stupidity. I scratched and clawed my way to where Im at now

Never once have I sat around saying oh...woe is me. Imagine myself sitting around being pissed I couldn't get a hand out cause I and gave up when I made my mistake

Other countries also try to rehabilitate their criminals, this is just set up to make sure the recidivism rate remains high.

Hmmm...i like this idea. It's kind of a shame that it will put "Regular" working class people out of jobs. For the most part DMV workers have stank attitudes and act like they hate it. If they were wearing orange jumpers I'd be like "shyt homie, I feel you"

What other jobs could they do though, I doubt they could be trusted around food.

Pedophiles can kick rocks, I'll agree with that because it's an attraction they cannot control. However, someone that commits a "violent crime" is too broad a term and will no doubt include the 16 year old Black kid that beats up a white kid, will be charged as an adult and catch a felony assault charge then have their lives ruined even after they serve their time.

Like others have pointed out, this will no doubt be extended to other crimes in the future as well.
