Well what had happened wuz....I was 10 years old when "Ain't nothing but a G thang" came on on the radio...and rap refreshed for me again...
I'm a DJ QUIK STAN
were you around when he was on the team? ever get a chance to work with him?
No. I need to listen to Dj Quick.
I heard he's one of the best mix engineers besides his beats.
C'mon you know I wasn't in Death Row.
What if I was on Death Row tho?
I'd be 15 with no life experience rolling with Tupac.
YOU TOOK THAT CHAIN
Let me c...I mean see myself outta here
Well I never liked Suge. Sometimes I did, sometimes I didn't.
Holy guacamole! you have any diss records on it!?!?!?!
No. I didn't steal any Death Row chains.
I did know a girl who bumped into Suge more than 3 times in LA. This was when he got out of jail and before he killed someone in a car accident.
Wilshire Blvd in LA. Man. Once I went to a motel at night. The customer service window had black shutters with a voice behind it.
That was scary...like a psychotically obsessed 50 year old Tupac fan stepping to Suge in jail, now.
I don't like that Suge killed his boy. fukk all that.
Sorry Suge and good luck!
How detail oriented are you when it comes to rapping on beatI'm in the final mixing stages. It's feeling good now. Most tracks went through 7 mixes + mastering.
I am SO detailed oriented when mixing vocals!
Shout out to Coli rappers working on albums and tag me on all your posts. I support Coli artists!
It's an important part of the Coli I feel. Shout out to @Sccit !!!
woah a lot to unpack there
thats crazy!!!!!
You like the joker or something...a villain of all villains
I've heard a lot of death row stories from being a fan but this is a real unsung story from the vault!
sounds like it aint over with; he gonna need a rabbits foot it sounds like!
this the stuff that fuels nightmares FR
How detail oriented are you when it comes to rapping on beat
Yeah Suge better stay reading the Bible in prison like he did when he was in prison before his vehicular homicide.
But reading then didn't help him. He needs to absorb the material.
Anyhow if I ran Death Row records this is what I'd do.
1. Cancel all Dr. Dre's plans and rent an airbnb
In LA.
2. Stuff the following in that house
Dre, Snoop, RBX, anyone alive that had any part of the 1992 Chronic, Lady Rage, Dat Daz,
And also Kool Keith, Eminem, Ice T, Ice Cube, Krs One, Game, Schooly D, Muggs, Ras Kass, daily meetings with Suge from jail for 30 mins, wives, girlfriends, Dee Barnes
3. They stay in that house create, beef, create, beef, create, fight, have breakdowns, cry, heal, show love and respect
4. All sober - Snoop extra on edge for the first
Week
5. Detox gets released and it's very, very simple it's this -
Dr. Dre produced everything and it's 1992 Dre beats, with 4 tracks like 2001
Dre rapping on every song
An album about east and west coast facts feat Kool Keith
A remix of that last Tim Dog song where he tells Jay Z to help rappers
Eminem on 4 tracks
Snoop on 10
14 tracks total
A Dre Dj Muggs production collab
Ice Cube on 5 tracks
Ice T on the intro and 3 tracks
Ras Kass verse
Schooly D on 3 tracks
Tonnes of Police Siren samples
Suge saying a prayer at the end
3 horror core tracks
All of this with exceptional mixing
Record scratches
Verse by Krs One
Artists happy
Fans crazy
Tonnes of Social Media outbursts
Album banned
Album reinstated
A pitchfork journalist assaulted. He'll be okay tho.
that is BRILLIANT! how are u financing your work? you currently got your own label?
Lol that'd work right?
I've been running my record label since 2002 - Cataphonic Productions.
I finance my own projects from my legal work.
I train people in the legal field.
I was never given anything, moved out on my own at 24 years old. I managed to release over 15 hip hop albums and I have no debt. Only assets
Thank God! And thank God for my health and even having hot water at home for real.
This is my second music video. The first is only on VHS from 2001.
