not saying i'm the majority, but there are folks like me who signed up when netflix was hot in 2012-2016, and only kept it because of the family members who use netflix regularly. i'm happy to turn this shyt off and re-subscribe for a month when stranger things comes back
That's pretty much my story.

I deleted my Netflix account a while ago. Price hikes, ads, this enforcement.

It's really not even that good anymore. A lot of its good content was purged and added to other streaming catalogues. The netflix originals aren't that good either. Just spammed with cooking reality shows/competitions. Arcane and Cyberpunk Edgerunners are the best shows to come out of them in the past few years.

Well this gonna be fun to see play out. I get the point of it but it’s as if they think the people who have been using other peoples passwords are gonna just decide to set up their own account (I’m sure some will while a majority won’t) They will definitely see a decline in their viewership numbers. I’m not mad at them cause other streamers have similar protections but they really should have done this like 2 years ago before they had so much competition cause where at one point I probably felt like I couldn’t do without Netflix, now there really isn’t much keeping me around. I guess we’ll see what happens
Do they even count the extra people who are using someone else account or is it just the main account/household that's tallied? That's the question. If the viewership number don't change then they're not really losing anything anyways since the piggy-backers weren't paying for an account in the first place. Not you but folks are crying like its a gas, electric, or rent/mortgage bill when streaming services are simply just add on entertainment. Just toss it in the dumpster and click that cancel button when it doesn't serve a purpose anymore. But people know they come with some crack at least every other month and they need access to that sh*t so thus the complaining and frustration. "I'mma cut it off and get rid of it once "_______ show" is over with. Yeah right:beli:Should've done that a long time ago. Rich, middle class, or poor once you get a certain age can you really complain in depth about something that cost $16-20 bucks a month when the majority of us will blow a dub or a hundred bucks at the blink of an eye everyday like it was nothing?

Changing their tune already

"For a brief time yesterday, a help center article containing information that is only applicable to Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru, went live in other countries,” the spokesperson told The Streamable. “We have since updated it.”
