I doubt they care too much about users who aren't paying for their service.
not saying i'm the majority, but there are folks like me who signed up when netflix was hot in 2012-2016, and only kept it because of the family members who use netflix regularly. i'm happy to turn this shyt off and re-subscribe for a month when stranger things comes back

TYRONE GA!
They're making this way too damn complicated. If they insist on this being a thing, just limit the amount of devices per account.

Changing devices?

I thought they'd do it with IPs where you couldn't have the same main account or sub accounts logged into different IPs at the same time.

For me, just lock it to 'X' amount of devices depending on the tier. They already prevent you from having too many streams simultaneously. A device limit would prevent the password abuse while still allowing people to use the service wherever they want. All this shyt is gonna do now is inconvenience people who don't even do password sharing like that. :dead:

If I'm paying $20 a month for a streaming service, I don't want to have to jump through hoops to access it while I'm traveling :beli:

its both.. IP address from your primary account / device .. anything that doesnt come from the same IP address will require a 2-step verification that will give that device 7 days of usage
