I signed a contract for my job. I read it, and had a lawyer read it. I made sure there was nothing in there I would look back on and regret having signed it. We really Shoehorning in someone’s death as a comparison to someone willingly signing a multi million dollar contract and agreeing to everything in it. Absolutely fukking laughable. It’s simple. Don’t sign something you will regret later on due to ignorance. Who’s fault is it for agreeing to something you say was unethical in the first place? Takes two parties to agree to a signed contract. If it’s so unethical, tell them to shove it and go elsewhere. Yet he signed itI hope you don’t live your life and treat people with such a glaring lack of context. If not, I’m going to assume every decision you made after age 18 was pristine, well thought out and effective. No mistakes. None.
Of course that’s not realistic.
The other thing is that the contract was unethical to begin with. There are are plenty of laws on the books that are unethical that fukk us up all the time and just because they’re on paper and official doesn’t make them any less unethical. I mean, look at the Breonna Taylor situation as a good example. The laws are not on the side of justice and we all know that yet the laws will be enacted as written, however unethical they may be.
