I signed a contract for my job. I read it, and had a lawyer read it. I made sure there was nothing in there I would look back on and regret having signed it. We really Shoehorning in someone’s death as a comparison to someone willingly signing a multi million dollar contract and agreeing to everything in it. Absolutely fukking laughable. It’s simple. Don’t sign something you will regret later on due to ignorance. Who’s fault is it for agreeing to something you say was unethical in the first place? Takes two parties to agree to a signed contract. If it’s so unethical, tell them to shove it and go elsewhere. Yet he signed it
And yet you have every social media platform there is and every app. Those "I Agree" buttons you click are literally signing your life away just to entertain yourself, but wanna get on here and act like you and your lawyer know something Dave and his lawyer didn't. Its not really even about the contract. Its about the game. That's why his agent caught a stray. From the top on down, in Hollywood this is/was considered the price of doing business. That's why he asked, "was it right?" The point is you can't create something on your own at a network without the hustle being baked into the cake (also see Nick Cannon and Wildin' Out). Stealing your stuff from you is the only way they'll allow you to play.....but is it right?
