So according to Brendan's original(coerced) statement they tied Teresa to the bed, slit her throat etc. When Kratz is asked about blood evidence in the house he says there is none because she was killed in the garage. But that would disprove Brendan's confession. Kratz was basically able to cherry pick from the two theories about how and where she was killed. The jury had to have been full of agents to buy this shyt. They needed a guilty verdict to make sure Steven never saw the light of day again.

If everything in that documentary is true than you'd have to be a complete fool to believe Steven did it. That's why I said the documentary had to have left something out. Past sexual or drug abuse, something. If that's not the case then I'm baffled about how people are so quick to swallow the shyt the cops served up. Even if you think he did it no way you can say he did it beyond a reasonable doubt. Someone told me a few years ago "Small towns, small minds."

What I think happened. Here's this hillbilly with a low IQ about to make the entire mantiwoc county look like a bunch of fools. Remember the Averys are seen as bottom of the barrel where they're from. Not only pride but also money. Steven should've got out of jail and out of dodge. Him staying around to rub it in there face must've really pissed them off. The system hates losing, they lost and now they have to pay up. Hell no. Colborn finds the car on the side of the road. And instead of beginning and investigation him and his superiors see an opportunity to frame Avery. They put this whole thing into motion and ruin Steven. A lot of people didn't want to pay these rednecks shyt.
