The phone calls are strange. Sounds like Avery wanted her specifically to come out, and the calls to her phone blocked except for the last call. Also giving his sisters name so she wouldn't feel uneasy to come out to the property. He probably did it. He was just too dumb to realize he would look suspicious by doing what he did to get her out there. He knew he had made her feel uncomfortablethe first time.

This is a crazy case. But so fukking interesting. :ohlawd:

This fool was def a lil too much up in the videos for his own good. I wouldnt be shocked in the slightest if he was the one who did it. But like the doc showed social standing is everything. Steven would never get the benifit of the doubt over someone like that due to who he was and where hes from :yeshrug:

Duke made me very uncomfortable. I wouldn't be surprised if Avery was guilty, but he wouldn't surprise me as the killer either.

For the people that think the brother was speaking too much and acting too cocky, you also have to remember that most people especially white folks in middle America are kinda taught at a young age to believe that cops are always good guys. So for him to believe Avery did it without a doubt and laugh at accusations that the cops planted evidence isn't too shocking.

Yep. I remember seeing this news story and I automatically thought these two were just a bunch of sickos. That is why this series was so eye opening. From now on I'm really going to not to make judgement on the accused until I see most of the evidence myself. Like that one lawyer said in the show, you don't ever have to commit a crime but you can still be accused and from then on your name is basically tainted no matter what. So fukked up.

When they played the audio of Detective Colburn calling in the license plate number and confirming that it was a Rav4 with the 911 dispatch, and he denied calling out the type of vehicle and then they ran it back to catch him in that lie I had to run that scene back like 3 times. Colburn had the :merchant: face on the stand.

Yeah

Sh*t was an obvious set-up

i think avery killed the girl

the car, the bon fire

i think the cops knew he did it as well but didnt think they had enough evidence and planted the key

what really bothers me is that her blood was in the back of the rav4 so she was put in her own rav4 but why would you put her body in the vehicle if your going to burn her 20 feet from your place? why were her bones in the barrel, i dont think the pit was the original burn scene

the cop who was on the stand testifying about the license plate, i have the feeling he was looking at the vehicle before it was discovered

the mentally slow kid, i am absolutely convinced he had nothing to do with it, the cops fuked him over, the original lawyer fuked him over, his mom fuked him over by not being there why they interrogated him

i feel sorry for him

I'm not too far in but I'm calling timeout on the police multiple-day NTSB-like search on the property without the residents present and on the evidence like the key in the house or the car on the property. There are quite a few stupid people out here but you don't pull off a murder and try to conceal it by burning the body and then just leave evidence practically in plain sight.
