It's crazy because when you break it down at least for brendon there was no evidence for anything he said. Like can I go into a police station right now and confess to a crime that never happened and go to jail:dwillhuh:
If there is a body and your story sounds reasonable.....

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
I think Steven did it, my wife is convinced he didn't. Regardless, The state didn't prove their case beyond a "reasonable doubt", so they should be free. She is addicted to the ID network, and at some point in the near future, I wouldn't be surprised if confessions start going the way of lie detector tests, and become more and more inadmissible, considering that all these cops are trained to finesse the fukk out of these folks with the mental torture techniques that are commonly used. The one thing about this case that bothers me more than anything else is the questioning of Brendan without his lawyer or mother present, under any and all circumstances, any statements made in those exchanges should not have made it to the jury's ears.

I just wonder what the hell was going through brendan's head when he said those things. If he didn't do those things then what did he think he was going to happen by telling them what they wanted to hear, I mean he could've snitched on Steve without saying that he was involved. I mean he could've just said I saw steve kill her and I ran away and hid in my room because I was scared or some bullshyt

another reason I'm more apt to believing steve did it was because he seemed kind of sociopathic to me. did his voice EVER change throughout this whole ordeal? He never got angry or emotional at all! He always had the same tone of voice and manner of speaking. The most emotion he showed was when they read the guilty verdict and he still didn't even cry. Plus they mentioned that he burned that cat alive or w/e when he was younger, which most serial killers start off doing. I also doubt how good his parents were, as his siblings and everyone else in the family seem really fukked up. The chick he met and wanted to marry after he got out of jail the first time was an alcoholic, alcoholic women are HIGHLY likely to pick abusive predators as mates/spouses.

Breh, kid had no perspective of what was happening. He even asked if he would be back by 1pm because he had a project due. He is just an uneducated hillbilly with mental limitations that will say what he thinks people want to hear, he could have been involved, he may have not, we will never know the truth because Avery will die claiming innocence, because you right, he a psychopath, and Dassey is mentally retarded, and has been spun so many different directions b y so many different people, he prolly doesn't remember what happened, as well as probably adding things that didnt happen to the story through all the coaching, so he prolly thinks he did them.

I think Steven not showing much emotion is the result of doing 18 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

With an IQ of 78 Brendan is only slightly smarter than a person with mild retardation. I seriously think he has no idea what is going on. He probably said those things just so the investigators would stop interrogating him and he could just go on with his day. The investigators basically fed him the story and he just answered yes or no.
I was dying when he was in jail asking his mom if his dad recorded wrestlemania for him :russ:

I thought they said his IQ was around 69, I remember Steven's being a bit higher.

Is there really no law that protects you from getting your house searched that many times? shyt seems illegal to me.

I highly doubt it. A crime scene is a crime scene. There's probably some statute within the warrant that states that the police may seize private property "for a reasonable amount of time [insert lawyer jargon]." And the amount of time probably depends on the amount or type of evidence they're able to uncover.

It's absolutely astonishing to me that Steven even allowed them on his property in the first place. It's astonishing that his lawyers did not advise him to not let them on that lot. If anything, they should've known that those cops could not be trusted and they should have taken pictures and surveyed the lot beforehand. They should have also had their own personal PI WATCHING the house during the investigation to ensure that unauthorized personnel were not on scene. The moment someone unauthorized showed up, they should've snapped a picture and filed suit against the city and state the next day.

For the people in this thread that say they think Steven did it you have to remember that he was the only guy investigated and therefore the only guy with evidence against him. Had they investigated other people as they should have we might have evidence against them aswell.

BTW I realise I can't say he 100% didn't do it but keep in mind that the cops handling of it does skew things against him regardless of us being aware of the blatant corruption and weak evidence.

Got damn, did yall see that POS Colborn behind Dassey at the verdict?

The lack of evidence (blood, rope fibers, etc) got me thinking Avery aint do it. So yall just combing thru the bedroom, sitting on the bed, moving shyt, etc where he supposedly killed her? C'mon

I think these people might've done it: Scott, Bobby, both of their timelines were fukked up
Teresa's ex-boyfriend, or her roommate < both of them seem shady to me
