Disagree... HBO and Disney believe it retains viewers. Euphoria season 2 ended up being one of the most watched shows on any platform in years. And after every episode it would trend on social for days until the next one.
Week to week helps me remember what happened when.
When I binge shows everything ends up seeming jumbled afterwards. And every episode has a sort of cliffhanger to keep you glued to the television instead of sometimes having episodes feel like a cohesive body of work. The biggest thing I dislike about binging is that in recent years I've tried to chill out to like 2 episodes a day in order to extend the viewing experience, but then with bigger shows friends are talking about the whole season and stuff...so I feel like I HAVE to binge it to not get spoiled. I hate that aspect of it.
I really like that HBO and Disney and Hulu don't do it. Also, it's weird to feel anticipation for some shows for a year (or more in many cases) and then bam...it's fukking over with in a weekend after binging the whole thing.
Lastly, I always feel like shyt for a day after binging any show. And I'm pretty sure there's been some studies that show it's not healthy for you to binge watch stuff. Which I totally believe because I feel like trash when I binge stuff.
