His quote was "we have moved past kneeling," and I can accept that as a misstep. He definitely didn't need to phrase it that way. I think his point though was kneeling is a symbolic gesture and we're moving from symbolism into systemic action that will benefit minorities and areas of strife. Working with the NFL is an important first step.

That's fair and I agree but the notion that Kaepernick and Reid only knelt is an issue too. They brought awareness and also conducted camps in various cities.

I personally don't think the NFL should be in the social justice business. They reacted poorly from the start and I'm not sure what they can do now.

How can Jay-Z say "We've moved past kneeling" when the nikka never kneeled? He wasn't in the trenches with Kap catching hell from the President and his followers for doing the right thing.

He legit trying to hijack the movement and his Stans see nothing wrong with it.

I don't think he was implying that either. Here's the full quote:
You go outside and you protest; and then the company or the individual says, ‘I hear you. What do we do next?’ I think we have moved past kneeling. I think it's time for action.” He added, “We forget that Colin's whole thing was to bring attention to social injustice. In that case, this is a success. This is the next phase.”

I personally don't think the NFL should be in the social justice business. They reacted poorly from the start and I'm not sure what they can do now.
I can respect that. I think letting a different company entirely handle social injustice is a great way to integrate it with the NFL. It forces the NFL to go in that direction without having to make decisions using the ambiguous lingo they've adopted from jump.

Their end goal was to be able to bring attention to social injustice while being able to have their career in the NFL being based on their talent. Not being blackballed for...you're pathetic dude.
So you posted a quote, said it's sad it has to be explained, I wrote the basic gist of the quote, and you're mad at me? :russ:

My point was, if they wanted the ability to protest while playing in the NFL, that needed to be a key part of the compensation in any settlement. If it was just about the money, cool...but don't stop other nikkas from making socially aware business moves with the NFL after you got your check.

Kap is the only reason the NFL was looking to make a deal in the first place. Trying to separate Kap and the Roc Nation deal is wrong.....they are linked.
Who's trying to separate them or claim that there is no link? I clearly stated earlier I think Kap should 100% have a seat at the table. I just also disagree with these crabs who think the deal shouldn't exist because Kap wasn't physically a part of it from jump. It's sad that something that should be viewed as a positive thing is being torn down before we even see what's what.

This jay z deal would make more sense if Kap was signed to a team

Kap is never playing in the NFL again...

Now I'll agree with you if you said, "this deal would make more sense if Kap was signed to Roc Nation"

To force teams to sign him should've been part of the compensation?
