I didn’t say Christianity was the ONLY reason slaves didn’t want to be slaves anymore, that would be asinine

What I did was respect my actual ancestors and take their words for what many of THEM said. They felt empowered etc

Also if Christianity was meaningless the slave owners wouldn’t have ripped out the pages and distributed the "meaningless book" in it's full form.
They didn't do that in America because enslaved people weren't supposed to be able to read. Hell, even some (probably most) poor white folks in the South were illiterate but were the preacher kept them in check with religion.

Lmao, Christians are in their feelings. Acting like religion isn't how the white man justified slavery,

The scriptures themselves don’t even condone chattel slavery. That white boy will use any alibi to feign ignorance of his actual nefariousness

Exodus 21:7-11

7 “If a man sells his daughter as a servant, she is not to go free as male servants do. 8 If she does not please the master who has selected her for himself, he must let her be redeemed. He has no right to sell her to foreigners, because he has broken faith with her. 9 If he selects her for his son, he must grant her the rights of a daughter. 10 If he marries another woman, he must not deprive the first one of her food, clothing and marital rights. 11 If he does not provide her with these three things, she is to go free, without any payment of money.

Sounds like sex slavery:patrice:

Titus 2:9-10

9 Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, 10 and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive

1 Timothy 6:1-2

1 All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered. 2 Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare of their slaves.

Stockholm syndrome forreal.

They’re pointing to East Africans to claim Christianity is indigenous to the Central and West Africans they descent from, and not a result of violent imposition of Christianity to erase their Ancestral indigenous African spiritual systems keeping enslaved Africans rebellious.
