"no" what
Heterosexual males, are by far at the least risk of contracting HIV.

No, women do not account for the most HIV cases. It is men. Men by far, doesn't matter how you wish to classify them.

And I didn't even mention heterosexual men? But since you did, I'll go ahead and put it out there that it seems that a lot of heterosexual men use these types of threads to try to boast about what they interpret as some type of immunity to sexually transmitted disease. At the end of the day, you can believe whatever you want, but when I was doing research in undergrad on this topic, I alone read the questionnaires/interviews of over 100 heterosexual men living with HIV/AIDS. And I was just an intern and our study small scale. I can't even imagine what the scope really was.

But you would probably just claim they were really gay and didn't want to admit it. I guess. Just be safe, especially if you are Black. Because I know how our community promotes, hell pushes, whorish behavior on men to confirm their masculinity, and that, combined with belief in immunity for straight men, is a recipe for disaster.

What does this tell us? Gay men are at the highest risk for contracting the disease, second place is women. Heterosexual men are last.

How about this from the CDC http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/law/pdf/HIVtranmsmision.pdf

Receptive anal intercourse, and receptive vaginal intercourse are the easiest way to contract disease. Insertive vaginal intercourse poses the least risk.

Compared to other diseases HIV is not very contagious. In most cases it takes repeated prolonged exposure for a person to contract the disease. Human anatomy dictates that it is not very easy to achieve this type of exposure through the penis.

As for all this strong black man stuff. Stop it I never said anything about being immune to std's. Other STD's are contracted in different ways, and are more contagious all together. I'm only speaking on HIV which is what this thread is about.

The skinny jeans movement is a way for homosexuals to blend in with hetrosexual males and be in the closet openly. Its difficult to tell whos who among the youth these days because so many of them act feminine but at the same time are hetrosexuals and you have others who dress feminine act tough but are homosexuals. I can see why there is so much HIV among the youth. There is no chastisement from peers. The youth openly embrace this filth now, defending queens and the HIV they bring to the community.

Its so demonic, friends.

Black people also account for a disproportionate amount of poverty cases. It's not a case of black people being more promiscuous or unsafe. It's about black people having less access to good healthcare and education.

Poverty levels between blacks and latinos are damn near identical but latinos dont make up a disproportionate amounts of new std cases the way blacks do. I dont believe black people are any more promiscuous than any other group but I do believe were more unsafe. If that wasnt the case then we wouldnt be reading these same studies over and over again.

Baton Rouge area second, New Orleans third in nation in AIDS | wwltv.com New Orleans

:ohhh:

I wonder why gay meccas like ATL or San Fran don't make the top of the list? Is it because people in those cities tend to be more affluent and educated to the great risks of unprotected sex??

Did ya'll know if this rate of infection continues as it is, that HALF of gay black males in America will be infected?

Gay black men please get tested regularly! It's like the 80's out there for ya'll. Very alarming.

i'd be more worried about syphillis, NGU and goneareah (spelling).

anti-biotics are going to be useless in 2 to 3 years. all these bacteria are becoming super resistant to all medication.

you can survive with aids. Without antibiotics it is a wrap, you're either permanently damaged or dead.

It's poverty. Untreated/undiagnosed STD's are much easier to spread. It's not about who has more sex or who uses more condoms.

I wasn't trying to go in on you at all, sorry to give that impression.

Your first post mentioned women accounting for most HIV cases, along with gay men, which is incorrect. Your graph proves what I said, it is men by far, and then everyone else. You didn't mention anything about risk until now. In terms of risk, heterosexual women catch it easier than heterosexual men, but this is talking about a .08% chance out of 10,000 in comparison to a .04% chance. This is the first time I am ever seeing receptive vaginal sex beating out insertive anal sex in terms of risk. That seems highly unlikely to me, unless the study was factoring in vaginal sex during menstruation. But then that seems like it would increase the likelihood for males, not females.

As far as the Black male thing, its a point worth mentioning :yeshrug: Notice how of all heterosexual men, Black men are the only ones on your chart. And you might consider it an underestimate since Black men see doctors the least of all groups. Anyway, my point was that it is a result of the highly sexualized culture for Black men. You may be less susceptible to HIV/AIDS as a heterosexual male if you are having vaginal sex with one partner you're committed to, but if you're running around trying to accumulate as many partners as you can, you are increasing your risk of "accumulating" an infected partner.

Any way you cut it. There are less heterosexual men living with the desease then there are women. My graph shows that it is HOMOSEXUAL men first then women, then everybody else. Black men are most likely to go to jail, and lie about their sexual experiences, the numbers on this chart are most likely an over estimate. And even with their high numbers there are still more women who have the disease. The only way to catch HIV is through a mucus membrane, the urethra is a small protected opening that isn't very susceptible to outside infection. Anus's and vaginas are made up of ALL mucus membrane which is why they contract diseases at a much higher rate. It is the person who is being penetrated who is more at risk.

The same studies show that it has NOTHING to do with one goup being more promiscuous than another. Black men are having the same amount of unprotected sex as anyone else. The biggest factor in talking about std's is poverty. Black people are more likely to be living without access to healthcare, therefore they are more likely to spread disease, it has nothing to do with a highly sexualized culture.
