He didn't say Kevin Hart's movies weren't funny. He said they weren't good. There's a big difference there. He said the same thing about Eddie Murphy. He said they're making movies for the checks, not necessarily trying to make good or great movies.
It is kinda weird hearing somebody like Neal Brennan criticizing guys like Kevin and Eddie in any fashion though.

Why, what has Kevin done that puts him beyond ciriticism? Two slightly above average specials followed by a shytty one and a bunch of shytty movies. I like Kevin a lot, prolly because charm/charisma are his biggest assetS, but when you think about it he's not even that great of a comic

Awful. ever since I heard him spewing the N word on the Combat Jack show and hearing how condescending and arrogant he was, I've never paid him any mind. He always tries to push this narrative that he was just as influential as Dave on The Chappelle Show, when his sole sketches were always the worst. If he was as good as he thinks he is, he wouldn't be as unpopular as he is today. Most key contributors on that show blew up and still make noise in comedy. He's white and the best he's been able to do is be a podcaster. What that mean?
