Not that radio hosts have to be geo-political geniuses, but at @25:00 when he asked are AAs the largest group of black people?... :scust: at the lack of knowledge... There's a billion plus Africans in Africa :martin:.....but the point he was alluding to is that AA entertainers don't/shouldn't have to be confined to the U.S. audience for a paycheck and constant roles, etc, when there is a billion person market they look like.. .............That's one of my regular African Diaspora rants.

Like I said, he was terrible. Obviously Neal isn't green to the game, he had enough input to mention it in the interview, and the results speak for themselves. Terribly unfunny movie and Chris' worst.

As I already explained, Neal obviously doesn't have the juice. Chappelle's Show was by and large Dave Chappelle's baby and it sank or swam on his orders. I don't believe anything funny about that show had anything to do with Neal. DC is funny on his own and does comedy in a way that coincides with the way Chappelle's Show went. Neal is just snarky and sarcastic, with occasional wit, but definitely not comedically talented enough to give him all the credit for Chappelle's Show that cacs are giving him.

Bullshyt. Half of the sketches don't make sense coming from a cac mind. A reverse real world sketch with a cac surrounded by blacks? Had to be all Chappelle. Blacks in general were talking about that very idea in barbershop talk all over America and Dave was our voice to see it in action. Neal is just cacs feel good story so they have an excuse not to credit a black person (Dave Chappelle) for doing something on an amazing level.
You sounding slightly racist there bruh.
Nobody writes a weekly sitcom or sketch show by themselves

"Am I wrong in thinking that most of the black people in the world are in Africa and America?" is what he said @ 25:27

Oops :patrice:...bad hearing.. :francis:. But the point still stands, when he was alluding to a Latino or Asian American that can capture internatiobal audiebces in those respective parts if the world, why can't AA artists do the same?

Another misinterpretation. The point about the Asian and the Latino was a separate point.

He was trying to say if Hollywood had an Latino mega-star, they'd have that portion of the demographic (South America etc.) wrapped up, and if they had an Asian one, they'd have Asia wrapped up.

He wasn't trying to say that an African American couldn't do that, he was trying to say that in an ideal world (at least to Hollywood execs) there'd be one of each - Will Smith, Asian Will Smith, Latino Will Smith - so they could cover all portions of the globe.

Paraphrasing - "The DVD market dried up they're compensating by making movies that play (well) in China, that's why they're making 3 more Fast and Furious movies...They need a sexy Asian and a sexy Latino, because if one of them pops it's gonna be massive... There's no Latino Denzel, No Asian Will Smith..."

What skits of the last season didn't feature Chappelle? And were not written entirely by Chappelle as you claim?

If he's the true brainchild behind the genius on the show like cacs claim, then Chappelle leaving shouldn't have changed anything. Neal wanted to keep going, so Chappelle show should have been able to continue successfully without him.

Who are these "cacs" you speak of?

You are the exact reason why they both agreed (and both have said publicly) they wouldn't reveal who wrote what sketch and would always say they wrote each sketch together:

The man on the street (aka "nikkas") is gonna think it was all Dave and Neal won't get any respect.
People behind the scenes and in the business (aka "cacs") are gonna think Neal did all the hard work and all Dave did was show up.

I feel like I'm defending Neal, but really as someone who writes and in general plays the background in a lot of ways, I hate when people dismiss people behind the scenes as if they don't play an integral role.

I don't need either to admit it. I don't just watch people, I absorb all information and nuances. Dave did 80 percent of it, I'm sure of that. There were some of the weaker sketches that I'm sure were Neal's idea and fit his style, but I know Dave Chappelle's style to the tee, and most of that reeks of being his brainchild.

I mean, they've known each other since they were 19, it's clear they've both had an impact on each other and it's why their humour is so similar. Fundamentally there's no difference in their humour, it's just style, but...
