I mean lets be real here. When something happens that stirs up emotions people are easier to program. When you are in an emotional state you make decisions that arent always rooted in sound logic. So if 5 pitbulls get loose in disneyland and maul a bunch of babies and then a news report comes on saying ban pitbulls, people who dont have pitbulls and people who hate pitbulls are going to get behind it because they see it as a time they can use backing of a powerful institution/force to make something happen that otherwise they may have given very little thought to.
In this case i dont think the ban on guns has Anything to do with what happening in the country as it relates to civilian on civilian violence since the weapons in question constitute 2-8 percent of gun related deaths. Meanwhile we already have major cities in America dont even want people to have handguns, period. Chicago has banned handguns yet has the highest murder rate in the country.
Whats really goin on.

right, whats crazy is people are so tuned into the assault rifle thing, when the reality is its probably the least efficient weapon in a close-quarters, mass shooting situation.

the saiga isn't all that common and dude did not likely have one of these. They are assault rifles...stock at least. You can mod them to all hell though. My point is the kid did not most likely have one.
If he did then yes, had he gone with the saiga and hand a few clips those numbers would have been devastating AND all around honestly just ...well damn no joke the thought makes me tear up.
How was he wrong. This gun ban is a kneejerk reaction to what happend.
The media has launched a full fledged anti gun campaign and painted anyone who owns or enjoys them as some kind of nutcase.
Most people had no real opinon on the subject until the news told them "guns are bad"
