eh, I did not know that. Good point.

So lets carry that logic over to another subject.

Pitbulls are banned in Denver, where I'm from btw.

And now pitbull attacks don't happen very much or rarely at all.

:yeshrug:
So should we kill all the pitbulls in the world to make it safer? What about the rest of dogs? Whats an acceptable amount of dead human beings that we can allow to be killed before instituting a ban. Do we keep a couple pitbulls in the zoo as a memory or should responsible adults actually be able to do what they want and own dogs that have proven to be domestic.

Also, a flaw in the logic using dogs to parallel guns is if you look at guns as dogs and you had to find the pitbull amongst dogs the pitbull would be the handgun and the assault rifle would be like your occasional rabid beast that gets loose on an unsuspecting person. So, do we just ban handguns(pitbull) or dogs(guns).

Facts. You can wikipedia gun related deaths and see a breakdown by state on which ones have the most problems with homicides. Chicago has one of the most strict gun laws in the nation and its leading the nation in guns deaths? Why is that? Do we really need these types of laws around the nations when they are proven to not work. Meanwhile states that actually trust their citizens to carry are able to police themselves through unspoken policies of mutual destruction. You need to smarten up kid. When things get real Uncle sam, the police and all them cats you run with aint gonna be there, and neither will you. Pack heat.

I am convinced that alot of you guys just copy and paste shyt from Yahoo Answers and regurgitate information you hear pundits on political shows say and do not even go deep into the research yourself to check the facts.

Ill let you figure the rest out because all of this has just become hopeless now. I really give up. You guys don't listen.

Continue to focus your one track on the ONE part of the gun control legislation, ignoring the part about the "gun-show loophole" in Clinton's 1994 Brady Bill as to a key reason why the estimated 6% decrease in crime(which was way too low) was not much higher than it should have been...and the fact that if this bill would strongly correct this flaw....the decrease would be much higher and be a strong upgrade from the "Brady Bill"

ignore all the various parts of the bill and keep the phrase "this will be banning guns" over and over again because you cannot focus on the whole bill because it is too big for you.

Like I said though, you guys are hopeless. I do not know what is hard to understand about 40% of purchased guns do not require background checks and that is a basic reason as to why the strict gun control in place right now in violent cities like Chicago, arent at its full potential. The bill would strongly fix this flaw of the gun show loophole and universal background checks. No one is saying this would stop the surge in crime in Chicago overnight..but it would help to slow it down.

How many times can we keep up with the copy and paste "Chicago and DC have the strictest gun control but high crime rates" argument from a 5 second lookup on yahoo answers.

BECAUSE IT IS IRRELEVANT BECAUSE THERE IS A GUN SHOW LOOPHOLE AND ABOUT 40% OF AMERICANS IN GENERAL DO NOT HAVE TO DO BACKGROUND CHECKS GODDAMN IT!!!

DAMN MEAN GENE. OH BROTHER!!!

Pitbulls are not natural killers. The American Kennel Club actually recommends against using Pits as guard dogs because they're too friendly. In order to turn a pitbull into a weapon, you have to abuse/train it in a certain way.

Guns are made specifically to kill. They have no other use, and their original function is as weaponry.

As it concerns dog attacks pitbulls make up half of them. Should this one specific dog be banned because of the actions of its owner. No it shouldnt but people should raise their animals more responsibly.

I GUARANTEE(You can quote me) that the very same people in here would still bytch if it turns out this bill passes without the ban on assault weapons included.

I will guarantee that.
