Personally I’d say it’s more access to other sports due to these apps / streaming and recording services. Now if I miss some shyt I can revisit it any time I want.

Theres only X amount of time in the day. Theres no reason for me to care about the nba in the regular season on a game to game basis. NBA was at some point point number 1 to me when I was younger and more invested in the players individually. None of these dudes moving the needle and I feel like anyone can be an NBA “superstar” with the proper push. Take 50 shots, mostly 3s, play no defense at all and you’re crowned. shyt aint even aesthetic to the eye outside of stat junkies.

Im sticking to fight sports and nfl ( on Sundays ) in my free time I do have. I’ll follow the nba playoffs when nothing else is going on.

The heights
The nba has a problem with the younger fans middle age and older fans the younger fans don't watch games just YouTube highlights for us middle age fans (age 30 to 45) most of the stars we grew up watching are either retired and the new stars don't play every night, no defense and no rivalries and the older fans really don't watch because of the lack of defense and no big men idk what's the nba solution even if a American white born superstar comes up I think most cacs wouldn't care :manny:

they just moved nba tv to harder to watch areas

when I had Dish Network I would just leave it on NbaTV 24/7
now they want you to subscribe to this, sign into that, pay for the extras, buy league pass etc ... shyt is convoluted for no reason

streaming services want in and exclusivity is how they thrive.

This would be a reasonable point if it didn't also apply to the NFL, and they're not having these issues

There's a clear reluctance to acknowledge that the game itself is not enjoyable to watch anymore for a variety of reasons

Hawks fans can barely watch games unless they’re away, unless we subscribe to another app. Nobody trusts the new app because Bally sports barely worked.
