Do teams have a mandated time limit on player intros? They could just incorporate some of their rituals within them if they don't

That's not even funny...it's not even that big a deal

They're trying to get the game goin faster

League Pass brings more audience to every game

Y'all complain about every rule, forgetting there's a business to ran

Nicca, what "business" is this?

"show" business!!

This is sports "entertainment"!!

Let 'em show out!

I mean, if they really wanna get the game going faster, they can cut out the player intros and the National Anthem. Why don't they do that also?

That's the thing; they get an intro, then don't need an extra 5 mins for a 12 man synchronized routine

like some caller said on ESPN, people pay money to see the whole package.

People loved to see Lebron, and mimmick him while doing his powder toss. People loved to see Garnett talking to the goal support. That's all apart of the money you pay for a ticket..and kids love it especially.

Now its just another emotional extra they are taking away

What about that routine was ever a bother to you until the NBA made this an issue?

Can you honestly say you have a history of actually talking about this?

It never crossed my mind until the NBA manufactured this as an issue. It was to you or anyone in here who back this measure?

I don't have a problem now, or then, I'm just givin' another side of the issue

Just tryin' to understand both sides of the issue

I'm trying to understand both sides too, and I'm on the side of this rule not making any sense. So I'm trying to figure out what spurred on the otherside to initiate this in the first place when, for the most part, it never was an issue to you, me or 99% of the people until the NBA manufactured it as one....which at the end of the day, makes that "otherside" seem useless.

Just because it exists doesn't mean it should be given an equal side of the equation.

These sambos will never understand this......

Cacs can't take these rich black young men being excellent, it burns them to their core :jawalrus:

Quoted for truth. The hate coarses through their veins to see us successful and unapologetically black, yet they still come out in droves to be entertained by us. Twisted if you ask me. lol And it's been like that for hundreds of years too. It's deeper than yall think fam.

the nba has no damn image problems
the most controversial and famous player was lebron who was hated cause of how he LEGALLY switched teams, then it was dwight for being too soft to just say he wanted to leave orlando and not sign an extension

To be honest, ever since Ivo left the leauge [not blaming him] the league has been more polite then ever. Hand checks are gone, technicals are given out for anything deemed too rough or violent, players seem to enjoy dressing up in suits/sweaters/being stylish and looking professional, etc. Other than tattoos, which have become wildly more acceptable in main stream society, what has been a REALLY bad image for the nba for the past two years? This just seems petty...

Well the NBA began the re-branding campaign around 2004-2005, which was around the time when the "Kobe Rape Case" and "Malice in the Palace" happened.. That was right around the time they started airing those "NBA Cares" segments... I agree, there isn't much of a image problem now, but at the time when they began the re-branding, there was a lot of negative attention on the NBA...

Such bs! This is all about the TV money; all that shyt is fun to watch when you actually go to the games. So it really only hurts the entertainment for those buying tix.

Word. Correct me if I'm wrong but usually if its not a tier 1 star(LeBron,KD,etc) they don't even show a lot of that shyt on tv, most of the time you are seeing their stat comparison charts, shot selection charts, or the commentators speaking. When I'm at the games, I love to see them get hyped and shyt.

I really wish we could do this shyt on our own man, played by us, run by us.

Man...when I look at the Negro leagues, all I think is the things we left behind in the name of "progress."

It's sad as hell....
