this just in, sources say all of the players have to take prozac and only dunk off two feet, a baby hook shot counts double and crossing someone up is a flagrant foul

That's not even funny...it's not even that big a deal

They're trying to get the game goin faster

League Pass brings more audience to every game

Y'all complain about every rule, forgetting there's a business to ran

the nba has no damn image problems
the most controversial and famous player was lebron who was hated cause of how he LEGALLY switched teams, then it was dwight for being too soft to just say he wanted to leave orlando and not sign an extension

To be honest, ever since Ivo left the leauge [not blaming him] the league has been more polite then ever. Hand checks are gone, technicals are given out for anything deemed too rough or violent, players seem to enjoy dressing up in suits/sweaters/being stylish and looking professional, etc. Other than tattoos, which have become wildly more acceptable in main stream society, what has been a REALLY bad image for the nba for the past two years? This just seems petty...

Kind of unrelated, but I always found it funny how big a deal was made about fights or things like that on the floor when in baseball you see dugout clearing shoving matches and fights with virtually no controversy.

Yeah of course you had the Malice in the Palace thing, but the reality is Stern is trying to remove the urban/hip-hop element from the NBA as much as he can.

Yall ever notice as hip-hop as basketball is they NEVER have hip-hop songs in promos or shyt like that. It's always some corny ass rock song or something totally unrelated. Just more marketing bullshyt to polish the NBA image up as much as they can.

:whoa:
the most swagless team in the league got one of the hardest beats ever for a playoff comercial after winnign 20 straight games from the end of the season in to the playoffs

Man i went to a Grizzlies game on Sunday and the only thing they were playing was hip-hop. Not even this pop ass hip-hop we have today, they played Ghostface Killa - Daytona 500, Gza - Liquid Swords, Mystikal - Here I Go, etc... Plus as someone else said they used Shook Ones Part 2 in a promo during the playoffs.

I dont see what the big deal is with this and the NBA. The NBA is about entertainment and all those pregame rituals are entertaining to the fans.
