Thing is you can trace NBA ratings issues with it being a majority black league all the way back in the 70's, all the way up to the early 2000's that the coli loves so much.

I alreayd know the dumbass logic you're gonna use though - "The 2011 and '12 finals had lower averages than 2010!" - and I'll say that, pay attention, because 2011 and 12 had similar/higher game by game ratings, but 2010 had the benefit of a Game 7 to blow up the average.
And then the other dumbass argument y'all love to make is the 2020 finals where you ignore how it was during Covid, happened 4 months out of schedule and was competiting with the MLB playoffs and the NFL

The problem is the nba has embraced luxury white boi country club basketball over above the rim play.
It is just like women's basketball.
Nobody is watching basketball to see a jump shot.
They are watching basketball by pros to see above the rum play.
Quite simply the fix is simple for the nba and wnba.
Make above the rim play a priority again. As this rupp Kentucky love for white boi basketball is not a draw and never was.

Nba ratings are down because you need multiple streaming services to keep up with games. Its not rocket science and Its not just the nba. Im not watching NFL games on Peacock or Paramount+ 
at least nfl was smart enough to leave it on 1 national tv station even if its streaming (abc or nbc).
Its not just that. Nba getting too fancy for they own good. Cant even buy tickets for a warriors game and go to a warriors game without getting the Chase Center/ Warriors app… so i need multiple apps/sites now just to go to a fukking game
(If you buy warrior tickets on ticketmaster or stubhub etc, you cant scan your tickets on those apps after you buy. You need to download another app — chase center app, then transfer tickets to that app. Which youll need to sync your ticketmaster account with the chase app, but if i bought the tickets on ticketmaster what the fukk is the purpose of the chase center app if it just syncs with your ticketmaster account in first place

The goofies who came to the internet age. Who are late to the dance. Never realized life is about practicality. No one wants to be inconvenienced by going to a digital anything. People want practical solutions like walking up to pay an actual human being. The internet ideal of purchase was and is really still for people in dire emergencies for business at the most. As no one needs immediate every body stop what they are doing aid on every thing. A digital portal was made for a ceo needing to make deadlines who was remote somewhere. Everybody can use it. Yet it is not the practical solution in every day life regardless of how much tech wants it to be.
