Well, if they lowered ticket prices, that would be nice.

I am probably one of the cheapest mofos on this board. I never buy food or drink at a pro game stadium/arena/field. It's like, "Thanks, that $10 for one mediocre hot dog and small soda was satisfying, like being gang prison raped."
I eat BEFORE i go in :pachaha:

This was bound to happen. MLB and NFL gonna be next. N!ggas running around looking like a fvcking human Nascar.

Ads on jerseys I don't think will happen for a while in MLB. It's the one case where the good ol boys club that keeps the game from progressing will actually come in handy. The traditionalist won't stand for it. Remember the uproar when they tried to put ads on the bases.

Breh, baseball has shown that it's just as greedy for money as any US sport. This is the league that for more than a decade, swept steroid use under the rug, because of how much money these juiced up batters was making them by hitting mile long homeruns. Everybody from the Commissioner, the owners, trainers and players have shown that they are morally void and would do almost anything for money. That "good ol' boys club" you see in baseball is greedy for money. MLB is no better than any other league in this regards.

I've always been open to the idea/in favor of ads on jerseys.

More ads on jerseys and less commercial breaks like international sports would be awesome if you ask me. :yeshrug:

Lol, they'll never cut down on commercials, but I couldn't care less about ads on jerseys...I can't fault them for getting that money, and this hurts nobody.

The player's will surely fight to get a piece, so I don't get the vitriolic opposition to this.

Seriously, I don't care.

I don't even buy jerseys. I want to watch basketball.

But, hopefully the NBA don't go crying broke and cause another lockout.

what is the ROI on this? as an advertiser who is likely paying for stdium banners, commercials, and other partnerships, why would i place a logo on the jersey? full court shot during a broadcast and i'm sitting at home not seeing shyt...sitting anywhere in the second tier and higher in the stadium, you aint seeing shyt. and am i really about to go switch to geico cuz they have a patch on the warriors' jerseys? gtfoh

these ads probably won't be on the jerseys that get sold to the public, just the player jerseys. they would have to strike deals with adiddas/nike to get on the fan jerserys

It's all about the money this was bound to happen. You know the owners are looking at the deals the big soccer clubs in Europe are getting and have no problem selling ad space on their jerseys.

FC Barcelona = 5 years $169,813,884.00 with Qatar Foundation
Manchester United= 7 years $560,000,000 with Chevy
Chelsea= $25,000,000 a year with Samsung
Don't they have enough money? :camby:
