none of which is gonna enhance our viewing experience

fukk i care if these owners make MORE money. is it gonna be put toward ticket prices? no. less commercials? no
More money for the players:yeshrug:

I want the league to make money because product that doesnt make money will eventually die. Arenas arent cheap. Employees to maintain said arenas arent cheap. Arena staff, as underpaid as they are, still get paid.

Man, I hate that.
You know why? Because if you get a jersey, it's like it matches what the players are wearing, pretty much season after season. Now, when you have teams with different advertisers, the jersey changes, like a European cycling or soccer team jersey. Now, it doesn't match. Instead of Wonder Bread in 2014, it's going to be Coca-cola in 2015. Your replica jersey is now trash, kind of like when a player changes team. Your LA Lakers Howard jersey isn't relevant or cool anymore.

It's all about the money this was bound to happen. You know the owners are looking at the deals the big soccer clubs in Europe are getting and have no problem selling ad space on their jerseys.

FC Barcelona = 5 years $169,813,884.00 with Qatar Foundation
Manchester United= 7 years $560,000,000 with Chevy
Chelsea= $25,000,000 a year with Samsung

Not everything is about the lil guy. Especially since this isn't going to change anything on the fan side.

The XFL was a league and it died. I never watched it or cared for it but tHe sh!t provided JOBS for many who had no shot at the NFL. Now all these bums are out there either unemployed or in sh!tty jobs. Same thing for ushers at those XFL games. For the unskilled poor b*stard making minimum wage, the extra hours were a GodSend.
Now doggy, before you get your panties in a knot I am NOT comparing the XFL and the NBA or NFL. :whoa:
I know the mere mention of XFL and NBA in the same sentence is crazy but the point im trying to make is if you love something you better hope it stays healthy and profitable or else it will die which in turn affects others in many ways.

:aicmon:BECAUSE THESE GREEDY OWNERS WILL CONTINUE TO CRY BROKE AT EVERY CBA
REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH THEY MAKE.

the thing is, the owners are always going to win the CBA disputes, there is just no way around it

this was always going to happen(ads on jerseys), and it will result in a higher cap and more BRI% for the players

its just an added revenue stream the players can point to in the next lockout

nobody will be bothered by the ads after 2 seasons, it will become an afterthought

:ohhh:

The players and the union need to put an end to the salary cap immediately. If they even sniff any of these amounts from sponsors, it would be ridiculous to have a cap on what players can earn.

Well, if they lowered ticket prices, that would be nice.

I am probably one of the cheapest mofos on this board. I never buy food or drink at a pro game stadium/arena/field. It's like, "Thanks, that $10 for one mediocre hot dog and small soda was satisfying, like being gang prison raped."
