NBA considering tournament style All-Star Game

Until they start losing big sponsors (which they won't), all of this shyt is meaningless to players and the office. I haven't cared about the AS weekend in years, but I've also aged out of it. The NHL does this gimmicky shyt and their adult fans seem to take it or leave it. They realize it's an exhibition game for kids and teenagers.

NBA AS turned into a whole ass weekend for celebs and wanna-be stunnas to party. The last thing they care about is the actual game. I feel like in the mid to late 00s, it became more popular to criticize the game than to actually enjoy it. So much to the point to where President "Pull Your Pants Up nikkas" is commenting on the lack of competitiveness. And they don't give a shyt about what he says because he's not putting money in their pockets.

I still don't understand the In-Season Tournament.Why have that bullshyt at the beginning of the season? I think it would make more sense to move it somewhere around All Star break.Let the teams gel a lil bit.Cotdamn.

Because the ASG is a wind down. A tournament means too much.

An exhibition to excite the fans and promote the game isn’t enough? What’s happened in the last few years that makes those reasons no longer in play? What’s made the players so great they no longer have to entertain the fans with an exhibition?

It'd be cool to see a 1 on 1 tournament. Just a plain ole game of 21, winner is guaranteed a top 15 pick for their team.

I still don't think the players would do it tho, too scared of that limited bag getting exposed

I dont know what's happening to the NBA, it didn't take all these gimmicks to make the game watchable back in the day. The star power just ain't there anymore

I never understood why people care so much that an All star game is "competitive" lol

Because it used to be rare in which you saw all of the best players playing against each other at the same time. Times are slightly different with how players move around, but that's what people enjoyed. Why does anyone care what happens in and who's playing those offseason runs? Same concept.

I don’t like that the stars are too lazy to do the skills competition either. It could be a big deal instead they have ‘teams’ no one could possibly give a fukk about. There should be no wonder why viewership is down. Even the nfl pro bowlers do the pro bowl games
