I ain't seen one person in this thread give a good reason for keeping the All-Star Game around.

You said it shouldn't exist. By your response it seems you don't mean it should never have existed, even though that's how your original post read. So when should it have been abolished? Furthermore, who is hurt by its continued existence?

I will say it's funny to start seeing the type of rhetoric that used to be attributed to "cacs" now freely being used by nikkas to talk about NBA players.

I'm not mad at this idea. The All Star Game has no real repercussions besides personal legacies. Switch the rules up every few years to keep it somewhat fresh. At the end of the day, does the All Star Game matter outside of entertainment value?

The idea is dumb. So do the Rising Stars count as All-Star selections then, since they're playing in the game with the best of the best? So if a Rising Stars player wins the All-Star Game MVP, does it count?

It doesn't matter what they do, if you can't make the players care (at this point, no outside influences will help), then this is a moot point.

I think the ASG would’ve improved if one of these young players came in not giving a fukk like Wemby blocking all their shyt. That would make them compete. I’m sick of these gimmicks. Like many have said, they play pickup harder over the summer, but can’t even put on a decent show for the fans. No one wants to see them jack up half court 3s.

I think a tournament would work but as a 3v3. That could be a lot of fun and you can have shorter games.

It’s an exhibition game. Players always bullshytted in these games outside of certain circumstances. Whiny fans forced Silver to think he has to make a change.

Favorite player is Anthony Edward’s but I’ll use him as an example. Last All star game dude was experimenting with different shots, like shooting primarily with his left hand and shyt . He did an interview about it talking about he was just fukking around having fun. I know that’s his personality anyway, but that’s basically what everyone does in these games. Lazy alley oops, someone stealing the ball and the other person literally just stops and watches them score on the other end. People scared of getting crossed up, so they just let the person move around them..just shooting 3s in a all star game as if anyone wants to see that shyt, outside of curry and dame shooting half court..

These dudes work hard, so I get they look at it like they are being honored more so instead of they are supposed to put on a show for us. It’s like a mini vacation and nothing more at this point for the Players. Again not hating, I know a lot of them mad young, but we not trying to see everybody allowing eachother to do some bullshyt with no resistance. Is this format going to make shyt more competitive really? Sounds like maybe, but they have changed it a million times now and no one plays harder. Used to stop anything I was doing to watch. Now I rather even just watch a movie with my girl and ignore the game
