I said it before that trumps rise will be an inflection point for the GOP.

The GOP coalition will begin to shift forever after this election.

Big business/corporate will be slowly moving away from overt institutional support for the GOP. The party itself will begin shedding some of the professional class - these will be the new “swing voters.” The party’s platform will shift to be much more “liberal” on economic issues. Made in USA, tariffs, greater social safety net guarantees but still wildly conservative/radical on social and cultural issues. They will start seeking alliances with hardcore Bernie voters that hate the Dems and are willing to sacrifice social/cultural issues so long as they’re able to test out their economic theories.
Overt racism is not what makes them money and the overt racist are usually the broke cacs who don’t buy shyt or can’t afford to buy shyt

As time goes on I agree with this more and more.
Then again, their "National Populist" candidates have mostly failed in 2020 while the establishment conservatives won their seats.
But there's a seemingly huge chunk of online cultural right wingers who want the GOP to be left wing on economics while being very nationalistic and socially conservative.

They tried this back in the bush years to pivot to Hispanics. The white supremacy project always kills this off.

Very different economies.

It is early so electoral success not guaranteed yet bc there isn't any real built in trust between coalitions. There isn't a unifying candidate or an agreed upon "platform" of sorts.

Trump is their guy and he lost

Nah. Think bigger picture breh. trump was the catalyst bc it was his failures that hastened the split but he is just one man and with the nations short attention span - he will soon be a thing of the past. Even his most ardent supporters realize that he’s done politically - they’re just making their way through the stages of grief.

Trump Says He Again Wants $100 Billion Trade Deal With Turkey

Wishful Thinking? Trump Wants More Trade With Russia

Pompeo, Lavrov Agree on Creating American-Russian Business Council

The more facist the leader the more open to trade he is. Most of his bluster is threats and they're typically directed at perceived "liberal" leaders but even then he's backed off from most of the EU tariffs.

Not surprised that went over your head.:coffee: hit me with some of that classic non sequitir

Why so upset friend? Non sequitir wasn't getting the job done so we go to insults?

Most of the things trump talks about didnt come to fruition, which is kinda the point. Your feelings on Russia and Turkey doesn't change the fact they are European countries.

I agree he worked against our allies on the geopolitical sense but mostly limited it to threats and acting an ass in geopolitical events/organization.

You just want to angrily mince words because you know the truth in what I initially implied :mjpls:
