Nas shyt it tight!! Ain't nothing leakin'. All the work that he put in over the last 6-7 years and we don't have a clue as to what's coming. You could understand since now he is on his own label but while on Def Jam and if he was ever working in anyone's personal studio, still nothing has leaked. Damn Nas!!:salute:

From a cat at SC (Dope mix Jay Berg)
Nas - Escobar Season (VOL I-V)
"I made Vol I around the time NASIR dropped. The goal was to make a dope mix with non album tracks released after Life Is Good. There wasn't enough material so I started adding older tracks and ended up going down the rabbit hole of Nas' catalog and made these. I got some more volumes I will try to upload later as well (The Firm 1.5, The Autobiography 1.5 + more)"

not sure if this has been posted but i love this remix more than the original

this shyt sooooooooooooooooo much better than the original. The original's beat is just kinda generic background grimy and never stood out to me, so the song never did either. This kinda melancholic sad but happy vibe fits it perfect and brings out way more depth in what they rapping about

Just looked it up to figure out who did this remix and where it came from, turns out this the same beat as the MF Grimm song 'Yes You Are' from Downfall Of Ibliys that came out in 2002. The producer from that track actually was the one that remixed this himself, named DJ Eli aka Eli Escobar. This remix and the Grimm song both came out the same year actually so makes me wonder if he'd made it for this Remix first and then Grimm bought it after or something. Anyway that shyt is sooo much wildly better to me, so good looks for posting that

here's a link if anybody wants: https://www38.zippyshare.com/v/PcGoSEke/file.html

I just hit him up too. He said he wouldn't even begin to know where to look since it was so long ago. He said he'd send it to me if he ever came across it, but I'm guessing it's buried forever unfortunately....
lets all hit Doo Wop up again, its quarantine, he got time to look for it now LOL.

doo wop (@djdoowop) on Twitter
https://www.instagram.com/djdoowop

^^ Everybody all hit him up and ask him to please dig for that State VS S.O.S.A. track in CDQ/No DJ some more

cuz that shyt is never getting released not even on some Lost Tapes 3 or 4, they'll never get all the diff labels to sign off on that one. plus it was probably a sample issue anyway too, so that one is just never surfacing. and that's honestly one of my Grails that we've all wanted forever. Doo Wop was the only DJ that ever had that one and he only had it cuz they had him lay the scratches and cuts on the actual recording

I am not a big fan of any of these songs as stand alone tracks, but somehow they work together. Sounds like a Nas album on Ruff Ryders.
