I know 9th put it on God's Stepson...Ether was dope to me and the majority of the people who heard it..if u dont like it..fine...u thought Yeezus was dope..I felt that shyt was completely terrible...9th was dumb for tryna remake Ether with a simple sample beat cause Nas literally had to write for that beat..the beat is strange by itself...its gonna be hard getting a truly dope remix outta that acapella..

If you like good hip hop beats and good raps, Ether shouldn't have been dope to you unless the excitement of the david vs. goliath spectacle overpowered your emotions. i actually think i was on team Nas back then too and i instantly disliked ether. i was sick of Jay and thought Blueprint was and still is a snoozefest. i know i was rooting for Nas when he had that post summer jam radio rant on power 105 because i was on the jack with my mom telling her about it. He said a lot of things i was feeling at the time. Notably that Cam's album was weak.


but Ether is a flat out marginal, off beat song with a bad Ron Browz beat.

Yeezus has some joints. Play Blood On The Leaves or Bound 2 right now. Overall of course it's trash. It's Kanye West. He's the worst person ever made. But the album represents his trashiness in a compelling way. That said I haven't played the album in a well over a year and don't plan to anytime soon.

Yeezus was dope to me at the time. I don't like Kanye West music but It's short as hell and has interesting things happening musically throughout. Me and Lou Reed. I was drinking lots of Vodka and in a hedonistic haze. It leaked on my Bday i remember.


That said, I would have Kanye West executed on sight if there were no repercussions. I'm only half joking too. But me admitting I liked Yeezus kinda speaks to me being one of the most honest posters here doesn't it?
