Wherever nikkas need to be told on
@Ziggiy @The Dust King brehs where are y’all getting your info about which LT2 tracks were recorded for each album recording period?? :why: I’m trying to be precise in how I substitute LT2 tracks for those albums they should’ve/could’ve/would’ve been on if someone made a different decision. My LIG is fukking fire right now but I was relying on @Ziggiy’s list. Btw I’m convinced Nas’s work during the LIG period was possibly his best since the Stillmatic era. I think the track selection and sequencing for the official LIG release underwhelmed me. Help me out if you can brehs.

my bad breh and i agree with your sentiment to replace the tracks unto the according albums

lost tapes is more a shuffle than it is an album. its essentially ameries husband who put together the track list. this source is from the making of lost tapes article

so for bad energy it was recorded by swizz and we know swizz and rza tracks were after the kanye Hawaii sessions

thas 2011 which is before life is good

therefore bad energy is from around this time which makes sense considering swizz said they recorded an album in a week similar to kanyes many years ago.

this source was swizz himself, just search swizz nas album. i am assuming adult film is from the same album or sessions.

since the rza meetings were around the same time then its safe to assume these too are from around that time frame

that source is multiple outlets. just search kanyes hawaii sessions with nas and rza. the conglomeration of artists was all for the dark fantasy album

so i am coupling the rza tracks for 2011 hence LIG

the statik track was said it was for LIG then nas said he freestyled the other half of the song when he decided he was gona place it on lost tapes. this source is nas on his tidal lt2 interview

What is current Nas? he can still rap like he always has. Beautiful Life, Echo, and Queensbridge Politics, No Bad Energy, Adult Film and others were all recorded within the last couple years.

technically some of those are older and updated but i agree. nas has aged fine as far as rapping and song creation

Art of It is from 2009:manny:

nas says his age on the track. so by this reference the song was for life is good

also beautiful life is from LIG nas spoke on this on the tidal interview as well

he said he updated it

nas worked with toomp on untitled so i will assume queens wolf was from this album.

the leaked tracks we already knew about but nas confirms which albums they were for eithrt on mass appeal album breakdown or the tidal interview.

anything that was after 2012 was for the "nas album done" album which is not a real name obviously but we got nothing else to call this era

@T.he I.nformant @Life is Good

havent done the math but it seems the bulk of the album is LIG leftovers with a sprinkle of nas album done

Apparently JT sounds like Sinatra on the song. I'm thinking Timbaland made his vocals sound like a sample similar to Jay's "Heaven". JT is featured on the song, but he sounds like a sample.

very interesting as i like jayz heaven song a lot (the wutang reference one i believe if we are on tje same page lol)

i did not know this

For me personally it's not only the best song on the
album it's outright one of my favorite Nas songs period.
It's has everything that makes me a Nas fan in it.

I agree 100%. It’s like one of those songs that can’t be left off a NAS greatest hits compilation.

It’s kind of like one of his old concept songs like “I gave you power”

It’s crazy for him to have a “new” song of that level in at this point in his career especially considering how rap music is these days makes it stand out even more.

I gotta go back and listen, but in the first listen there was a noticeable difference between Art of It and a lot of those tracks.

Basically that shyt sounds like 2001 Nas.
