NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Last weeks Saturday episode. Started at like the 30 min mark. They played one song discussed briefly moved on. I was listening a little yesterday to see if they brought up again. I didn't hear anything did anybody else?
They didnt. And the fact that they didnt let me know that their not.

This is on point. I also think in the eyes of casual listeners that Jay is considered to have a more consistent discography despite Nas making the best album between either of them. I actually agree with that sentiment. They’re both two of my top 5 favorite emcees and in many ways I wonder if they’d be compared as closely if not for Takeover and Ether, etc. Because In many ways they’re very different emcees.

Nas is more of an enigma to me. I mean Jay is a weird dude too and he’s deeper than his detractors think, as well as more musically inclined. And I think Jay is more introverted than people think, but Nas seems even more introverted than Jay does.

I’ve heard a lot of Jay stories over the years from friends in the industry, but even people I know that have worked with Nas either have less to say, or they agree that he’s a bit harder to read or figure out. He’s not MF DOOM level private, but for this reason alone I agree he was never destined to be a media darling the way Jay was.

Jay is an amazing rap artist, but without Beyonce he would be a basic legacy artist at this point . The nygga meeting the royal family is not because of Jay's career...

That’s what I’m looking for too

The rapper spoke about the project during an interview on The Daily Show, but refused to reveal where each track was supposed to land.

"You kinda gotta guess like, 'What year did he make this one?'" he told host Trevor Noah. "Some of the songs are like 10 years old, 12 years old, and some of them are as early as a year-and-a-half ago."

Well, ain't gonna hear it from him at least...

People on other threads talking about its over for Nas or his album flopped.

I say fukk it, if it is over or if he never sells another record, OH WELL. Damn near 30yrs in the game, especially in the hiphop game, that’s unheard of.

No one, not a single MC other than Nas and Jay have had the impact they’ve had. Those are the only two MC’s still making noise from the 90’s. All the other legends have come and gone, but none have the same impact as Nas, you think selling 50k records is bad, ghost, roots, cube, common, face, lupe, rakim, etc can’t move 5k units. Shyt even heavy unit movers like dmx, ja, 50, game can’t even get release dates.

So fukk it, 25+yrs in the game. Go out now, don’t need to drop another record. His status is solidified.

How do ya'll come up with this stuff? Beyonce before being featured on "Bonnie & Clyde" with Jay and most importantly featuring Jay on "Crazy In Love" was not a legit solo star. Truth be told, neither would be what they are without the other. Single Beyonce isn't meeting royalty either and had she married some random rapper or ball player the results wouldn't be the same either. Same goes for Jay had he married some random R&B singer or model. There's a reason why they are a POWER couple.

Question was Beyonce single when her solo career popped off or was she in a relationship with Jay the entire time she's been a solo artist?

On the flip side, was Jay not one of the most popular artists in the game before he and Beyonce were connected?

That's neither here or there. There are a lot of big artists who have never been with royals before or were afforded a lot of the opportunities Beyonce has. The point is her being married adds a certain appeal to her that she wouldn't have if she were single. Same goes for Jay. Pretty much holds true for any power couple.

And she's the bigger artist NOW and has been since 2008

My nygga.. if Bey was single, her stock would be 10 times higher. She is a machine.
