I feel you bro

They hate it before they hear it
It’s clear that his perseverance is something they can’t bear :umad:
It’s become apparently clear
They fear him, he not dying :mjlit:
I rather put my ears to a blaring cop siren
My hair in a hot dryer, then hear all that pop-soundin' fakespeare, pop rhymin' :scust:
nikkas should stop lyin' :comeon:
Why in a whole year, they still in the same spot trying
To change, but they not risin'?
When will somebody real tell ‘em they not Nas-in’? :francis:

These are the type of replies I need to see in the thread

12-14 weeks shipping :snoop::deadmanny:guess it's whatever for the goat:manny:

Im starting to think Def Jam/Mass Appeal only prints copies of Nas albums now for people who order them. So they wait till people order and then press them up

I get the logic of that in some ways, save stock. Also kinda guarantees the artists gets low sales

Damn, who's in charge of the shipping? Big Baller Brand?

I just said in the other thread, I actually think they only press up physicals for people who want it and then release more later
This is what happened with the Nasir album too, I think a few other artists do this now too

He got me blocked and I dont know why:lolbron:

His mentality is always : Nas beats suck but he should let ME produce him like he says on that youtube channel he on
:unimpressed:
(Sadly this is actually the basis of a lot of the he picks bad beats movement from 9th to Cookin Soul to House shoes. I respect they sound engineers and think they know how to fix dude sonically but like come on brehs, we can see through this :scusthov:)

After a bunch of listens the 2nd half of the album is incredible but I don’t like much of the 1st half except Lost Freestyle. I like the Tanasia beat but I wish he did something different with it, he’s done those kind of songs before. No Bad Energy has some good moments like when he does the Smooth and Trigga flow but that beat bores me. I feel like he always tries to have a very theatrical dramatic beat on the first songs on the last few albums but I usually don’t like them except maybe No Introduction from LIG.

My favorites are Lost Freesyle, QB Politics, Queens Wolf, The Art of It, Highly Favored and Beautiful Life.

Overall I like it but i’m still going to sit with it for a while before I make final verdict because some songs might grow on me.

Yeah I know unfortunately Illmatic is the gift&curse of son career.Honestly this some fukked shyt to say but I don't think his work will ever be fully appreciated until he's gone.Son has the craziest expectations of any MC ever guess it comes with the territory when they don u the 2nd coming of Rakim:manny:

I don't think it's fukked up. It's the truth.

I wasn't old enough to experience a lot of Nas' albums firsthand, but based off everything I've read here, The Lost Tapes 2 should have been like a dream for the skeptics and critics. Nas has classic, Cuban Linx-era production from RZA and it's not enough. He has not one, but two beats from Pete Rock, someone who hasn't had a placement on a Nas album in 25 years. Not good enough. He has Alchemist production on here, some great work from Swizz, a damn Kanye beat from his prime years. It's like an all-star game full of producers and for some people, it's just not good enough.

The same thing happened with Michael Jackson. For years, he was looked at as a joke and a child molester and a weirdo. Then he died, and people suddenly remembered that he was the greatest entertainer to ever live. He was only given back all the roses people took from him when it was no longer possible to kick him around. Leaving Neverland tried to take the roses again, but in a few years, something will happen and Michael will go back to being adored and appreciated again.

When Nas dies, everyone's going to talk about how incredible his catalogue was. They'll talk about how people always ignore his work after Illmatic. They'll talk about how much of a genius he was when it came to experimentation, how Untitled was ahead of its time, how he influenced an entire generation of rappers, and they'll even try making a case for his lesser albums. They'll also make sure he's known as the greatest rapper of all-time.

It won't be enough until he's no longer around. And when that day comes, we can all laugh because everything I said is what we already know. It will just take something drastic for certain people to know it too. :francis:
