It is a compilation of throaways and if they feel its okay thats cool

I hope the reviews arent too harsh for this when they start coming out (I'd honestly be happy with something in the 70's metacritic) because I feel that will be a common theme here where people will feel like these werent meant to be on the album. And to that extent Im curious how people will use that for or against his discography. I feel it should get a pass but every Nas album has scrutiny, I dont think this one needs to.

The beat sounds like some early ‘00s up tempo R&B track for Ruff Endz

Something early 2000s Bad Boy artist might rap over was the vibe I was getting

I planned 2 skip Jarreau of Rap, but since the album dropped.....I’ve been bumping it. Something about the musicality and Esco’s flow on it makes it dope

It's a 5 mic album.

I'm convinced that anytime the GOAT drops fire, some dudes want to brush it off in order to avoid the narrative that after 25 years in the game, Nas is still superior to their favorite rapper(s) and the current crop of MCs. It's the reason dudes like Lonzo Ball bring up and bash Nas for no apparent reason but to excuse their embarrassing taste in music. So when a dude like Akademics lazily brushes off the album as "whatever", it's just a dude who doesn't want to confront the reality that what he listens to pales in comparison to what Nas offers. They just don't want to engage in that conversation.

I'm a lifelong Nas fan He's my favorite Rapper ever.

I like when artist experiment for a song or 2.
I enjoy it.

Like who else is utilizing Cuban sax and that type of Jazzon a Rap song?

Can we get a Nas album with Experimental Jazz, and Jazz interpretation? Songs with Modern and older Jazz artist including his Father.

Im just tired of everything this nikka done for 30 years being compared to Illmatic. That shyt was 1994. nikkas need to get over it. Got the man scared to drop tracks produced by Pete Rock and Rza because of this Illmatic shyt.

Fam. The shyt wasnt even a review. One nikka said “it’s whatever”. And the other nikka said he didnt even like the first Lost Tapes. It was worthless.
