I respect everyone's opinion, but people are really complaining about the production. This is some of the best production he's had and it isn't due to the names attached to the songs. "Lost Freestyle" and "War Against Love" are two of the best songs on the album. If Ross rapped over them, you'd have posters talking that "Ross should executive produce and A&R Nas next album" talk.

Where is Hip Hop Since or whatever his name is? I want to hear an interview with him. I'd like to hear him talk about Nas and his past/current role with this new Nas album. I wonder if that relationship soured.
Hip hop is working on nas official album, not the lost tapes. Mal mentioned it on the Joe budden podcast. Nas offical will probably drop over the next 6- 8 months. Once the tour is done.

Nas last three pure solo albums (Untitled, Life Is Good, Lost Tapes 2) had GREAT production, and if you throw in Distant Relatives thats FOUR albums with great consistent production.

This “Nas can’t pick good beats” bullshyt is a GROSS exaggeration. Life Is Good in particular was a superbly produced album and should be heralded as a triumph for No ID and Salaam Remi

I remember around the time Rich Forever dropped and everybody was geeked off Triple Beam Dreams. Brehs was saying, “Imagine Nas rapping on some Ross luxurious type beats:gladbron:

Nas gives us an album with all types of those beats but now it’s :trash:

Never change Coli

Y’all can’t be serious

These aren’t Ross level type beats. The bests on this album aren’t even good

Yea. fukkin yea. U got people in this very thread shytting on tracks like Nas Is Like. Lol. Man this nikka Nas has went as far as getting in the studio with fukkin a legendary family of musicians with beats made from scratch with Damian Marley and people STILL shytted on his production. U best believe nikkas would be sayin “this shyt is boring”. “Nas needs better beats”. “Nas needs more current production”. “This shyt is too slow, Nas needs more uptempo shyt on this album”. “It’s aight. He needs so and so to executive produce this so he can pick more consistent beats.” They def would be sayin this shyt.
