So answer me this sir
How is it that he can go song for song with any artist in the history of this rap shyt and his catalog is 3rd at worst?
Eagerly awaiting your genius level response. I just need some consistency

I value bars over anything else and he's in a league of his own when it comes to that. Not saying all his beats suck just that he struggles in that aspect. Idk why im replying, arguing over musical tastes is lame. Just wanted to state my opinion.

This this list proves I was right about how much critical praise Street’s Disciple got when it dropped. Then got retroactively panned as one of his worst albums.

life in the underbelly
I know I'm late, but I just heard the album this past Sat. Although it's not something I would purchase, there are a few songs that I can see myself vibing to. His first Lost Tapes was definitely a better overall album.

Who is arguing with your taste. I wanted you to back up what you said because I like statements that make sense. 1+1 is supposed to =2
So you're basically saying Nas catalog is a goat contender because he has really strong lyrics???..
Nas can go song for song with anyone because he has bars??...Just can't pick beats or do hooks.
I guess I'm just struggling to find your logic sensible.
But the beat is an essential part of crafting a song. Why does he have so many great songs? Why is his catalog revered?

Beats overall are a bit of a letdown, I expected better.

RZA is 1/2 for me, the 2nd song (Highly Favored) is a lil annoying/distracting, but it's growing on me.

Disappointed from Daji, Khalil, Hit-Boy productions

Pete Rock came correct. That's a 2/2 for me. Special shout outs to Eric Hudson and Toomp, their shyt was dope.

Alchemist with It Never Ends was dope, but such a missed opportunity for not having any drums. Felt like it lacked a proper climax. Woulda been fukkin amazing if he brought the drums half-way through and upped the tempo with Nas going in harder. SMH.

Nas was on point.
