HipHopDX gave LIG a 4...it's not like they're haters or something, they tend to have decent reviews. They just gave Bandana a 5, and Benny's EP a 4.5.

As I said in my review there's a lot of stuff here that sounds unfocused or unfinished. This isn't Lost Tapes 1, focus wise or quality wise. It's a solid album. Definitely makes me excited for whatever the Nas Album Done album ultimately becomes.

I absolutely love both those albums but no way in hell they get 5 and 4.5 and TL2 gets a 3

Hell LIG having a 4 and plugs having a 4.5 is a damn travesty.

Damn that’s almost a whole different beat. I think it’s a bit slower than the album version too. Sounds more like a Neptune’s beat on here.

Wonder what happened and why there’s such a difference. Especially considering he recorded this song a long time ago. Did he re-record it for the album or did they just change the master

I have my suspicions, but I believe they updated that beat. Hopefully, they reveal what actually why there's two different versions. I do have a theory, but I don't want it to come off as wishful thinking.

Edit: the snares at the beginning pay homage to "Shook Ones Pt. 2" and the signature Pharrell/Neptunes 4 count is gone on this one, but is present on the album.

Just listened again to the album in full and it has zero misses. And my God some of these stories and bars are next level.

QB Politics is seriously like 2 cousins getting into a fight and you can't take sides so you, the respected cousin trying to get both to just chill out and let the drama cease, you can here his love for both sides by not saying they were wrong, just explaining to the street legends that you gotta separate the street from music in QB

It's a good project, better than Nasir. I cut it to 12 songs (jarreau was super trash, royalty, who are you were mid and adult film was trash)

Does everyone not realize that The Lost Tapes 1 were finished songs, some of which (Fetus, Drunk By Myself, Blaze a 50, Poppa was a Playa) didn't make the cut because of a leak. Black Zombies, Everybody's Crazy and No Idea's Original actually appear on Stillmatic. THESE ARE 7 OF 12 FINISHED, FULLY REALIZED SONGS!!

I'm pretty impressed and satisfied with LT2 for most of the songs being half way finished, and not fully realized.
